Just before I relinquish my attempts to do it with Nftables and prepare
to go back to the Iptables way, after I had already begun applying
Nftables, but was amazed how little or none at all tutorials and
examples there are to be found for my case...
...and how ample documentation is still there for a linux bridge with Iptables setup like I need, see links are disabled in the dustbin...
Just before rolling back to the Iptables firewalled linux bridge, I
thought I'd try and see if you people can tell more on my dilemma:
Iptables/Ebtables or Nftables for a firewalled internet access to an internal subnet?
Pls. see what I wrote in these other places:
Nftables or Iptables/Ebtables for a simple linux bridge?
links are disabled in the dustbin
,
A Firewalled Internet Access to Internal Subnet
links are disabled in the dustbin
and
PPPoE and static subnet setup
links are disabled in the dustbin
and thanks anybody has a worthy advice. |

miroR: You have been warned in the past about posting long missives and "blogging".
That's bad enough.
Do not attempt to hijack other people's threads
with links and pointers to your walls-of-text that not only don't
answer the poster's question, but practically is begging them (and
anyone else) to come assist you.
You have been warned. Further transgressions will be met with a ban.
This forum exists primarily to help people with their Gentoo
installations. Side topics are tolerated, within limits, particularly
in OTW. It is NOT ok to litter the place with links and crosslinks to a
myriad of topics with at best a tenuous connection to each other and/or
to Gentoo. I have to admit, for someone who claims to "not have much time to respond" you sure write faster than I can read and parse.
One thread, one topic, on-topic, direct and simple.
You are blogging here. Find yourself a hosting provider. Then use it.
These forums are not an appropriate place to be hosting this stuff. _________________ "We understand that good business is grounded on integrity and hard work." — Feel-good filler seen in search-engine-"optimization" spam-site

I cited this post like that, and I posted more questions on the same
query that I have over in other topics that I work realy, really hard
on.
And I wonder was it somehow deleted by some very strange non-human error?
Or was my post, that I posted at this exact place in this topic,
removed, but only without even any reports (or if with where are they?),
by some administrator?
And if the latter, why? |
